Bill Diamond Productions, founded by Bill Diamond in 1976, has been the birthplace of numerous television shows and films, many of which are still in production today. Operating out of his New York studio, Bill continues to produce movies, shows, and commercials, and bring his beloved characters to life. When he’s not behind the camera, he’s on the road, meeting fans and signing autographs at conventions across the country. Keep an eye out—this industry legend might be coming to a Comic Con near you!
BILL DIAMOND​​​
Bill Diamond is an Emmy® Award-winning puppeteer, producer, director, puppet fabricator, set designer, and lighting director whose career spans over four decades in the world of puppetry, television, film, and live entertainment. Known for his deep passion for practical effects and character-driven storytelling, Diamond has become a respected figure in the entertainment industry for his dedication to preserving the legacy of classic puppetry while continually innovating in the field. His extensive body of work includes working alongside legendary creators like Jim Henson, contributing to numerous iconic franchises, and developing original properties that have gained cult followings.


EARLY CAREER & INFLUENCES​​​
Diamond began his entertainment career as a child actor, appearing in commercials and performing on Broadway. During his high school years, he created his own stop-motion animation films, launched a theater company, and began building puppets. At just twenty-three, he was introduced to Muppets creator Jim Henson.
TELEVISION & STAGE WORK​​​
Diamond produced and directed multiple television series in the 80’s and 90’s including, Stuffy’s Place, The Land of the Moonshins, and Dr. Rock’s Dinosaur Adventures, which appeared on Fox. He was also the associate producer of the documentaries, The Phantom of the Opera: Unmasking the Masterpiece, and The Aurora Monsters: The Model Craze That Gripped the World.


JIM HENSON & THE MUPPETS​​​
​Diamond befriended John Henson without initially realizing he was the son of legendary puppeteer Jim Henson. That friendship eventually led to an introduction to Jim himself, after which Diamond began working in Henson’s New York office on various projects, including The Muppets, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and more.
HORROR & SCI-FI CONTRIBUTIONS​​​
Diamond designed and built sets for the 2024 slasher film, Damien Leone's Terrifier 3. He is also an associate producer on the film.​


CONVENTION & FAN CIRCUIT​​​
Diamond is a regular presence at major conventions and comic cons, where he exhibits his creations, signs autographs, and participates in Q&A panels. His booth often features appearances by characters from Little Shop of Horrors, The Dark Crystal, Fraggle Rock, and a variety of Diamond’s original creations.
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS​​​
The off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors featured the debut of Audrey 2, the carnivorous plant puppet that quickly became a fan favorite. In 1984, Bill Diamond was brought on to build and puppeteer Audrey 2, and he continues to operate the giant plant for Little Shop of Horrors road tours to this day.

2019: Silver Telly Award for Gorgo's Christmas Carol, Narrated by Vincent Price.
2020: Emmy® Award for set design for the YES Network's Yankees Buzz in the Bronx.
2021: Bronze Telly Award for Claus and the Fairies.
2024: Bronze Telly Award for Season 1, Episode 1 of Gorgo's Graveyard Shift.
CURRENT PROJECTS​​​
Bill Diamond continues to lead Bill Diamond Productions from his studio in New York’s Hudson Valley, where he is constantly designing, building, and filming new content.
His ongoing projects include:
Bill Diamond On the Road – A documentary-style series following Diamond’s travels to conventions and events.
Gorgo’s Graveyard Shift – A spooky late night talk show featuring puppet host Gorgo the Gargoyle interviewing television, movie, and artist guests.
Full Moon News – A quirky, news show hosted by Uncle Henry delivering bizarre headlines, and offbeat humor all under the glow of a full moon.
Monster TV Network – A horror-themed show featuring original puppet-hosted segments, and exclusive interviews and news with a classic horror twist.
