You may notice the look is different—grittier, rawer, unmistakably of its time—but that’s exactly the point. From the Diamond Mine Archives: Rise of the Skeksis. Our story begins on an alternate time line in another part of the Dark Crystal world. With the prophecy of another great conjunction seen by a young Aughra, Rise of the Skeksis foretells the rise of darkness of the Shadow Skeksis. A new terror reigns across the land upsetting the balance between light and dark.
